Edmon Rakipi Nominated for Man of the Year candidate by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Philanthropy and community involvement are fundamental to the corporate culture at CORE Investment Management. As such, we are excited to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year campaign, a 10-week philanthropic competition for leaders in local communities across the United States.

We are proud to announce that CORE’s Edmon Rakipi has been nominated to run for LLS’s Man of the Year in honor of local blood cancer survivors Francesca and Nathan, Tampa’s LLS Boy & Girl of the Year. (View his candidate page here).

All of us have been touched by cancer, either personally or through a loved one, and at CORE we are no different. Edmon is participating on behalf of his mother who lost her battle with cancer in 2017. Therefore, CORE is excited to play a role in supporting LLS’s cutting-edge research to advance cures for blood cancers.

LLS is the world’s largest nonprofit dedicated to fighting blood cancers and has invested more than $1.2 billion in pioneering cancer research over its 70-year history. In the past two years alone, LLS supported 34 of the 39 blood cancer medications approved by the FDA.

At the forefront of the fight to cure cancer, LLS is a leader in advancing breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine. This research saves lives. These revolutionary new treatments originally discovered through blood cancer research are now being tested in clinical trials for other cancers.

The LLS mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and Myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. Follow this link to support the LLS and Edmon’s endeavor: Show your support here
